Hi! I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 26 years ago, and have been attending the MS Achievement Center for 14 years. My group meets every Monday for 5 hours, and there are groups that meet on other days. We receive physical and occupational therapies, cognitive and brain balance activities, games, friendship, support, fun and laughter, all designed to help us cope with this progressive disease. Unfortunately, this all comes at a price - it costs about $500 per person per month to meet our expenses, and none of it is covered by insurance or Medicare. In order to keep our membership fees low, the remainder of the expenses has to come from donations, grants, and sponsorships. Our biggest fundraiser, the Race to Nowhere, is coming up on Feb. 25. Please consider giving whatever you can to this wonderful organization that helps those of us with progressed MS so much. Thank you!!
