I've been working for nearly four years as the Program Manager of the MS Achievement Center, and this year I promised all the members I would actually RIDE in the Race. Though I'd never call myself an athlete (I'd like for my race bike to have a book holder), I am participating in this event, because I am SO proud of this wellness program and of the relationships I've developed with these amazing people who have MS. They, who have become like family, have taught me how to adapt to a "new normal," which doesn't always feel so normal. I credit them with getting me through the pandemic, because they showed me how to gracefully navigate change and losses, something our members have constantly had to do because of Multiple Sclerosis. The MSAC members use a variety of coping mechanisms--yoga, cursing, laughing, art, connecting with friends, etc. At the MSAC everyone comes together to be boost one another up. I love these people! Please consider making a $25 donation in honor of the 25th anniversary of Race to Nowhere (this also gets everyone except Chris off the hook for buying me a birthday present :) - Erin
We're celebrating 25 years of Race to Nowhere! This stationary bike race raises funds for a unique wellness program that provides resources for people with progressed MS. Your gift helps them find connection and support as they face the challenges of a disease that takes so much from them. Whether you register to ride, make a donation or support one of our fundraisers, you can make a big difference!
