Every week, I make my way to the Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center (MSAC) at KU Med for a variety of things. My husband Aaron calls it the MS Activity Club because we're always doing crafts, playing games, having contests, answering trivia, and participating in whatever shenanigans we can dream up. Each visit, I can count on checking in with a physical therapist (pt), occupational therapist (ot), cognitive activities specialist, social worker, and program director to assist me with any questions or concerns I have as a result of this dreadful disease. I've also grown to love and care for all the other members of the group as family while we celebrate our victories and lift each other up from our woes. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please consider a tax-deductible donation and helping out a place that has done so much more for me than words could ever say.
We're celebrating 25 years of Race to Nowhere! This stationary bike race raises funds for a unique wellness program that provides resources for people with progressed MS. Your gift helps them find connection and support as they face the challenges of a disease that takes so much from them. Whether you register to ride, make a donation or support one of our fundraisers, you can make a big difference!
