I was diagnosed with MS 29 years ago, and have been attending the MS Achievement Center for 17 years. My group meets every Monday for 5 hours, and there are groups that meet on other days. We receive physical and occupational therapies, cognitive activities, games, friendship, support, and lots of laughter, all designed by a wonderful staff to help us cope with this progressive disease.

This all comes with a price. It costs around $575 per person each month to meet our expenses, and none of it is covered by private insurance or Medicare. In order to keep our membership fees low, the remainder of the expenses is raised through donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships.

Our biggest fundraiser, the Race to Nowhere, is coming up on Saturday, March 28. Please consider giving whatever you can to this wonderful organization that helps those of us with progressed MS so much. Gary and I will match all donations to my page.
