The Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center is extremely important to me. I got involved as a volunteer several years ago because I battle MS every day, though not even close to the level of disability faced by the center’s attendees. I wanted to put my energies into an organization that makes a difference for those living with a disease I understand (and fear, if I’m honest). I wish everyone in Kansas City with MS could/would do the same. They would then see the hope that can come from shared experiences and true caring.
The center doesn’t exist – now and into the future – without financial donations. There’s no cure for MS, and I understand that those of us struggling with this disease should support research. But more than that, we should support each other – especially those who suffer the most. As a volunteer, I can vouch for the profound impact of every dollar.
That’s why I am again Racing to Nowhere – with family and friends -- and asking for any support you can offer.
When you support Race to Nowhere as a rider, fundraiser and/or donor, you are giving people with progressed MS a unique community wellness program. You are helping them build strength, renew purpose and find connection with people who care!
